TAV – Theory, Analysis & Vision International Journal of Social Sciences Research
TAV is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published under the auspices of Young UNIW. The journal is published electronically twice a year, in January and June. It welcomes original research articles, theoretical studies, analytical papers, case studies, and book reviews in both Turkish and English.
TAV takes its name from three fundamental concepts:
- Theory: the foundation of academic thought,
- Analysis: the scientific method and systematic research,
- Vision: the perspective for the future and shared objectives.
These three pillars highlight both the methodological soundness and the forward-looking nature of research in the field of social sciences.
The name TAV also refers to the Turkish phrase “tavında yapmak” which means doing something at the right time and in the right way, symbolizing the mission of publishing academic studies in their most mature and timely form. Additionally, the name recalls teavün (solidarity and cooperation), emphasizing that the journal not only publishes individual academic works but also represents collective scholarly efforts grounded in shared values.
TAV aims to provide a strong platform for discussion, exchange, and collaboration at both national and international levels, particularly for young academics and researchers, by hosting studies conducted across all areas of the social sciences with an interdisciplinary perspective.
